Facility Highlights

• The large main classroom is bright and cheerful, and provides a comfortable environment for learning and playing.
• A large playground area adjacent to the school offers plenty of activities for outdoor fun.
• Parking is on a first-come/ first-served basis in the back parking lot entered off of Park St. On-street parking is available on Park St. and Regent St.
• The facility adheres to New York fire safety and building codes.
• The classroom is cleaned daily, with a very thorough cleaning every weekend.

History

1929 - Preschool playgroup organized by the Skidmore Department of Home Economics

1940 - 1947 - Full day childcare program established

1961 - Parents establish a cooperative nursery school program

1962 - Katrina Trask Nursery School incorporated and chartered by State of New York Education Department.

1978 - Moved to current location in the New England Presbyterian Church at 24 Circular St. (Nolan House)
